We get asked about our name all the time. What the heck is Montopolis?
The name originates from a road sign in the hill country leaving Austin. In the 1800s Montopolis was a town outside of Austin. It has since been annexed by Austin but a road still bears the name.
We've also been told, though cannot confirm, that Montopolis is the Norse equivalent to Mt. Olympus in Greek mythology (hence the mountain in our logo).
